Organon, a complete software package at the cutting edge of integration
ORGANON
- Organon is a software package designed to meet your organisation's management, communication, remote collaboration and online transaction needs.
- Organon has two major characteristics: it is comprehensive and integrated.
A COMPLETE SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- For your management, Organon includes all the classic modules, ranging from CRM (Customer Relationship Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), DMS (Document Management System), BPM (Business Process Management), etc. to cost and budget accounting with commitment management.
- For your communication, Organon offers you the possibility to publish an unlimited number of internet, extranet, intranet, and smartphone websites or to send newsletters, e-mails, text messages, etc.
- For your remote collaboration with the outside world, Organon offers you platforms for exchange and collaboration with your members, customers, suppliers, employees, working groups, etc.
- Finally, for your online transactions, Organon manages the sale of items, the reservation of seats for your events, enrolment for meetings or training courses, the management of donations for associations, etc.
AN INTEGRATED SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- For the management and communication of your organisation, you probably have a multitude of tools, files, media and databases: an application for contact management, a database for the website, Excel files for member management, a file server for document management, invoicing software, etc.
This is a bureaucratic and additive organisation of information: tools, files, media and databases are added together without limit. In doing so, they exist alongside each other but do not work with each other. - In contrast to this additive system, Organon offers you an IT architecture based on the integration of all your data and files in a single database managed by a single application. Thanks to IT, all your data will be interconnected, which, for example for a contact, allows you to view all the documents concerning him, all the events in which he has participated, the number of times he has visited your extranet site, all the letters he has received, all the invoices you have sent him and therefore his turnover, etc.
- However, this integration is not limited to your data and files. While you have to give up the office organisation of information, you should not give up the facilities offered by office software. That is why Organon integrates all your traditional software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gmail, Google Docs, Dropbox, MailChimp, etc. In a way, they become satellites of Organon.
A MODULAR, CONFIGURABLE AND CUSTOMISABLE SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- Organon is fully modular. You are free to choose the modules you need today, with the guarantee that you can add more as the need arises.
- In order to better adapt to your needs, Organon offers a number of standard settings that allow you to adjust the operation of most modules.
- You can go beyond simple parameterisation by asking us to customise your application through specific developments.
A SCALABLE AND SHARED SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- Organon is a software package that is constantly evolving. Very regularly It is regularly enriched with new functionalities, as it adapts to the evolutions of the technology. And
- This evolution is made possible by a large community of users in Europe who share the cost. Organon is therefore developing on the cooperative model of shared cost.
A USER-FRIENDLY AND MULTILINGUAL SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- Organon's interfaces are created on the basis of the principles of perceptual psychology, in order to give them an intuitive and user-friendly character.
- The working interfaces are currently available in 4 languages: English, French, Dutch and German.
- The communication interfaces are available in all languages.
A SECURELY HOSTED SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- Organon can be hosted on your local network or in the cloud, depending on your preference.
- If you choose to have your application hosted in the cloud, it will be hosted on multiple mirrored disks and backed up daily at three geographically separate sites.
- In compliance with the GDPR, the hosting is carried out within the European community.
GDPR COMPLIANT SOFTWARE PACKAGE
- Through its architecture, Organon meets one of the first requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): the centralisation of your data and files in a single database, which is the first and necessary condition to effectively ensure the protection of personal data.
- Organon also provides a set of features that allow you to respond to requests for information and, if necessary, to anonymise personal data.
- If you have a website, Organon offers you a fully integrated cookie and consent management system.
Did you say integration?
- The new information technologies are governed by a universal law according to which shows that the more integrated an information system is, the more exponentially its productivity increases. It follows that the more an information system is disintegrated, the more exponentially its productivity decreases.
- But what we see in most organisations is a completely disintegrated management of information based on a multiplication of software, media, files and databases that add up but do not merge.
- In addition to its low productivity, this fragmented management of information has many adverse effects: creation of duplicates, triplicates, etc., loss of time due to the lack of integration between tools involving numerous manual operations, loss of energy in searching for information, difficulty in updating and exchanging information, multiple service providers, licences and interfaces, etc. Finally, how can the standards of the GDPR be met when personal data is scattered?
- This irrational situation has its origins in the confusion that has arisen between office automation and IT, with many people mistaking office automation for IT. This confusion is rooted in history. The 1980s saw the birth of microcomputing and the personal computer, the PC. In line with the philosophy of the personal computer, the first software was software to help individual work, such as word processing (Word) or spreadsheet software (Excel). However, these tools and the individualistic philosophy behind them quickly became established in SMEs, first as tools, then as a way of managing information, and finally as a way of organising work.
- However, an organisation is not a collection of people producing a collection of individual works, but a collection of collaborators working as a team to achieve a common goal on the basis of shared tools and data. And that is the difference between office automation and IT. When you create two Word documents, they exist next to each other, but do not work with each other. When you integrate your two Word files into a computerised document management system, not only can you link the two documents to each other, for example by making one an annex to the other, or a translation of the other, but you can also link these documents to their authors, to a meeting, a project, a file, an activity, etc.
- As opposed to office automation, which is additive, IT integrates all your data and files into a system composed of elements that can be linked together. This is the only way to achieve a collaborative approach to work, because all your employees share a common tool and common data.
- Let's take an example. You are exchanging e-mails with an external correspondent in the context of an important project. Several of your colleagues are involved but your correspondent systematically forgets to add them in the cc of his emails. Since your inbox is individual, if you want to share the information with your colleagues, you have to forward each e-mail to them for information. This is a manual operation that must be repeated for each e-mail. Fine, the information is now shared, but if you have three colleagues involved, you have created 3 duplicates . As this e-mail concerns an important project for which you have created an electronic folder on your file server, you still need to make another copy and manually deposit it in this electronic folder. You therefore create a 4th duplicate.
- IT offers you a different solution. If, like Organon, your application includes document management, you can simply drag and drop your e-mail into Organon and it will automatically link it to the sender, recipient and project, allowing all your colleagues to see it.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gmail, MailChimp, etc. are great tools. It is not a question of giving them up. It is just a matter of giving up the additive and individualistic character of the data and files they create, by centralising these data and files in a single database managed by a single application.
- The right architecture is therefore to have a central IT application, of which the office software becomes a satellite. This is what Organon offers you. And by doing so, it allows you to increase your productivity exponentially, in accordance with the universal law of new technologies, which states that the more an information system is integrated, the more exponentially its productivity increases.
- Integration is therefore the future of the new information technologies because it is their natural evolutionary logic.
